Lucas Bergvall was brought off the bench at half-time to replace Yves Bissouma and while the Swede did impact proceedings from the middle of the park, Tottenham Hotspur still ended up losing 2-0 at the hands of Fulham.
As Rodrigo Muniz and Ryan Sessegnon scored to hand the hosts a well-deserved victory at Craven Cottage, Bergvall would have been incredible frustrated.
While from a personal point of view, Bergvall is thriving at Tottenham, the team’s collective failing must not be easy to take for a 19-year-old like him. Despite still being a teenager, Lucas Bergvall has impressed but it is the senior players who look like the real weak links in the side.
This season, Tottenham have lost 15 out of 29 Premier League games and sit in 14th place in the Premier League in what has been a shambolic campaign for them to say the least.

Jamie O’Hara thinks Ange Postecoglou could get sacked if things go from bad to worse and Spurs are eliminated by Eintracht Frankfurt in the quarter-finals of the Europa League.
Lucas Bergvall says Tottenham “will come back stronger” after loss v Fulham
From Bergvall’s point of view, he is doing everything in his power to help dig Tottenham out of the seemingly never-ending rut they find themselves in.
Even Declan Rice praised Bergvall earlier this season but at the end of the day, the responsibility of being one of any top club’s main men should not fall on such a young player’s shoulders.
However, Bergvall is not one to shirk responsibility, promising Tottenham fans via his Instagram story that this Spurs side “will come back stronger” after they lost to Fulham.
“We know that it is not good enough, we will come back stronger after the [international] break.”
Ange Postecoglou will be frustrated to see the highly-rated midfielder having to make such statements for his Tottenham side.
But it has well and truly been a crisis of a league season in particular for the Lilywhites.
Tottenham’s next five games after losing to Fulham
But Spurs fans might be skeptical as their side is inconsistent in every sense of the word.
Tottenham’s three wins, two defeats and one draw in their last six league outings sums up how unpredictable they are as a side.
But as Bergvall stated, a return from the international break offers his side a chance to right their wrongs.
Tottenham are playing Chelsea, Southampton and Wolves in the league but all eyes will be on their two-legged tie against Eintracht Frankfurt that could make or break their season.
