William Saliba has no interest in moving to Real Madrid, despite the Spanish club having nade him one of their top transfer targets.
It has been reported that Real are lining up what would be a world record fee bid for a defender, but the 23 year old Frenchman has now reiterated his commitment to Arsenal.
He insists that he is happy in North London and that his ambition is to win trophies with Arsenal, something he believes will be possible in the next few years.
Saliba is under contract with the club until 2027, and, although he insists no discussions have yet taken place about a new deal, there have been suggestions that he will be offered terms that will make him one of the highest earners in the Premier League.
Securing the long-term futures of players like Saliba and Bukayo Saka, and tying teenagers like Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly down to new deals will be one of the items near to the top of the inbox when new Sporting Director Andrea Berta joins the club.
