Real Madrid are interested in signing Enzo Fernández from Chelsea, and he could be part of a swap deal that could see French midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni move the other way.
World Cup winner Fernández was signed from Benfica in the summer of 2023 for what was briefly a record fee for a Premier League player, until Chelsea themselves broke it a few weeks later when Moises Caicedo was acquired from Brighton.
He has since played 96 times for the club and scored 12 goals, but it is believed that he has never settled in London and would be open for a move to Spain.
Tchouaméni has been on Chelsea’s radar for some time, with his versatility one of his attributes. Although his best position is at the base of midfield, he has also proved to be adept at centre=back, and, at 25 years old, the best years of his career are ahead of him.
