Harry Kane has taken to Bayern Munich as much as Bayern Munich has taken to him.
It is a connection that goes beyond the on-field connections with his teammates, too.
“I’ve only been here for 18 months but I feel like it’s been a huge part of my life already,” Kane said in remarks captured by English sports journalist Ben Jacobs, via @iMiaSanMia. “The fanbase has really taken me as almost one of their own …I’m loving it. I’m enjoying this season. We’re playing really good football.”
Remember several years ago when Kane featured in a Spurs documentary alongside then-Tottenham Hotspur coach José Mourinho? The “Special One” made his pitch that he was the one with the stature to fulfill Kane’s ambitions (the video contains some NSFW language):
