Tottenham lost again at the weekend, and tension is starting to brew at Spurs.
Indeed, Ange Postecoglou is under serious pressure at the moment, and it’s fair to say that this current environment at Spurs isn’t all that healthy.
Tottenham have looked at other managers as potential Postecoglou replacements, and it’s not just the manager who is feeling the heat.
Indeed, it would appear as though the pressure is getting to a few players too, and according to Elias Burke, speaking on The View from The Lane, Brennan Johnson was having a go at Dominic Solanke at one point at the weekend as they failed to connect with a pass.
Brennan Johnson had a go at Dominic Solanke
Burke shared what he heard from the press box.
The journalist says that Johnson did shout at Solanke during the game at one point as he failed to get on the end of one of his passes.
“But Johnson, I think there’s always been a few question marks about his technical quality. And I can remember a couple of times where he dropped to receive the ball and tried to like spin it around the corner for Solanke. And there was one occasion where Solanke didn’t get it and Johnson sort of shouted at Solanke,’ Burke said.
“I could hear that from where we were. I wasn’t really too sure if that was Solanke’s fault though. It felt like Johnson was expecting Solanke to do a hell of a lot of hard work there to get that ball.”
Brennan Johnson stats vs Fulham
Johnson was frustrated with the £60m man during the game against Fulham, but perhaps he should be doing some more self-reflection.
Johnson has been criticised at times this season, and, at the weekend, the Welshman’s flaws were there for all to see.
The winger was incredibly sloppy on the ball, and he barely made anything happen during the game.

Shots | 0 |
Dribbles | 0 |
Key passes | 0 |
Pass success rate | 55% |
A pass accuracy of just 55% is unacceptable at Premier League level, and the fact that he didn’t even make a single key pass or a dribble shows that he wasn’t even playing in an ultra-adventurous fashion.
Johnson was getting frustrated with Solanke, but, the reality is, his own performance wasn’t good enough.
Spurs have been disjointed in recent times, and the last thing they need at the moment is in-fighting between their own star players.
