Will João Palhinha be back with Bayern Munich next season?

Bayern Munich midfielder João Palhinha has had an inauspicious start to his career in Bavaria, but the Portugal international is not letting a slow start ruin his outlook for a future with the club.

“There are many examples in our team. Last season, almost everyone complained about some of our players: Leon Goretzka, Dayot Upamecano, Alphonso Davies. Many players who exemplify my current situation. I just want to show what I can do,” Palhinha told Sport Bild journalist Tobi Altschäffl (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).

At the moment, Palhinha is likely the 5th-choice midfielder for Vincent Kompany behind Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka, Aleksandar Pavlović, and Konrad Laimer. With Tom Bischof arriving in the summer and the potential for no departures in the central midfield, it could be even harder for Palhinha to break through next season.

Per some other reports, Palhinha is considered to be a candidate for sale this summer as well.
