UEFA Women’s Champions League is back, with the first leg of the quarter-finals tie played in Munich.

The UEFA Women’s Champions League is back. Bayern Munich has been paired with Olympique Lyonnais in the quarter-finals.

Lyon made the finals last season before losing to two-time defending champion FC Barcelona, and have a 16-1-0 record in Ligue 1… so this will be a stern test for Alexander Straus and his team.

The FC Bayern Frauen, meanwhile, are coming off a strong performance against Bundesliga rivals VfL Wolfsburg. The Bavarians will just have to navigate a campaign on all fronts for the rest of the year, but that is a good place to be.

Today’s match will be at 4PM EDT and is not streaming on YouTube, although next week’s reverse fixture in France will be. DAZN has free coverage with an account (no subscription required) in German as well as in English/French.

It’s Bayern time.

Lineups

Georgia Stanway is hurt, while Mala Grohs makes her remarkable return to the pitch after cancer. Sarah Zadrazil captains the Bavarians in today’s XI:
