Mauricio Pochettino on returning to Tottenham and Daniel Levy

Mauricio Pochettino has admitted that he would love to one day return to Tottenham Hotspur, however, he is unwilling to discuss that possibility given he is the current manager of the USA.

The Argentine has also revealed that he still shares a good relationship with Daniel Levy and how the decision to sack him did not affect their personal relationship.

Pochettino told Sky Sports: “I’ve seen always it’s difficult in football that that doesn’t affect all this type of situation in your relationship.

“For us, we split very well. One thing was professional, another personal and now, like the day after we left Tottenham, we keep always a very, very good relationship.”

Speaking about a possible return to the North London club, he added: “I am in the USA, I am not going to no, I’m not going to talk about that, but what I said then still after six years or five years, I still feel in my heart that, yes, I would like one day to come back. We see the timing, like Daniel said.”

Tottenham fans want Mauricio Pochettino to return

Tottenham fans are keen for Pochettino to return to the football club six years on from his sacking, which came just a few months after their Champions League final defeat.

Pochettino, who backed Tottenham to improve under Postecoglou, remains very popular among the Lilywhites’ supporters.

The Spurs faithful have now taken to X to share their thoughts on the potential return of the 53-year-old.

don’t care how often emotional reunions fail or how we should look only forward etc—it was mad for him to have been sacked in the first place imo, the (poor) guy has Spurs in his blood & he just… makes me feel a certain way about my club? I love him & can’t wait for his return https://t.co/jiSW7Gkqpz

One fan said: “Get him back now! He wants to return, he wants to win. He’s magic you knowww!”

“Absolutely love to hear this from Poch! His passion for Spurs is unmatched, and honestly, the door should always be open for a legend like him. Can you imagine the magic if he returns,” another supporter stated.

There’s never been as much heat on Levy & the board than there is now. The quick fix for him to get some fans back onside, bring back Poch.

I don’t think it will ever get better whilst ENIC are there, but I’d be lying if I said I wouldn’t welcome it, just to feel something again https://t.co/gnqUsZUQ6J

There were yet more shouts for Pochettino to return: “All you want from managers and players is that they love the club like you do. #Poch”

Finally, another fan claimed: “We have hired a couple of ex-Chelsea managers so why not. Some of the happiest times as a Spurs fan were under him.”

Pochettino coming back to Spurs is absolutely nailed on just a matter on when. In theory older wiser should be a better manager.
