High praise for Julian Nagelsmann, any of it deserving?
In a recent interview Bild (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich’s very own Thomas Müller gives his insight on the German national team, very valuable insights considering his seniority in the squad.
Specifically, the Bayern legend spoke about the youthful, evolving team and how he sees a bright future ahead of it.
“I think Julian Nagelsmann has managed to turn things around with the team. I was still there at the beginning of the tournament at the Euros last year. Something has developed there,” said Müller.
“With Jamal Musiala, with Flo Wirtz, we have players who have desire, who are having fun and who of course have qualities. Every fan wants to see that. They managed to implement what the national team stands for: joy, creativity and success. Julian Nagelsmann has done a really good job there so far.”
He has high praise for his former club coach, and seems to have plenty of confidence in the fan favorites (praise bordering on pressure maybe), but nothing he said is wrong. Fans are definitely seeing a shift in the way the German team plays football, both on the pitch and with their attitude.
