Manchester United could use a new striker.
Ruben Amorim currently has Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee to choose from at Manchester United – a duo who only have three goals each in the Premier League so far this season.
Gone are the days where Sir Alex Ferguson – who loved Dele Alli – had the likes of Wayne Rooney, Dimitar Berbatov, Javier Hernandez and Danny Welbeck all within one squad.
TBR Football understand Manchester United want Victor Osimhen to fix this issue – but on the topic of strikers, there was a mystery man named Betinho who the Premier League assigned to the Red Devils by mistake back in December 2022.
When Betinho appeared in Manchester United’s Premier League squad
While Erik ten Hag was still at the helm, a Portuguese striker by the name of Betinho popped up in Manchester United’s Premier League squad, holding the No.11 shirt which Mason Greenwood owned at the time.

The 31-year-old did spend time in English football while on loan at Brentford back in the 2014/15 campaign, but never got close to appearing in the Premier League, let alone with a club the size of Manchester United.
Interestingly, Betinho still has a profile on the official Premier League website – although they have since ensured he is not associated with the Red Devils.
Where Betinho is today
After becoming a worldwide trend on Google thanks to the Premier League in 2022, the Portuguese striker is now living a much quieter life.
The man born in Santa Maria de Lamas is playing for S.C. Dragoes Sandinenses, a lowly Portuguese side.
Betinho was once quite highly rated, emerging from the Sporting CP academy and making four appearances for the Portugal U21 side, scoring two goals.
While his football career never truly lived up to those heights, he still managed to make headlines in 2022 after the Premier League accidentally named him as a Manchester United player.
