Germany travels to Italy…are you ready?

Madrid takes lead on Huijsen (ESPN)

Bayern Munich might have bigger fish to fry this summer, but the Bavarians have been linked to Bournemouth defender Dean Huijsen several times.

Most consider getting Huijsen to be a longshot for one primary reason — the supposition that he wants to go to Real Madrid. As it turns out, Huijsen might get his rumored wish:

Bournemouth’s Dean Huijsen is “leading the casting” for a new centre-back at Real Madrid, according to Marca. The newspaper says Madrid are “intensifying their scouting reports” on various defenders, in case they decide to sign one this summer. As well as 19-year-old Huijsen — who’s just been called up by Spain for this week’s games — the names of Ajax’s Jorrel Hato, Liverpool’s Ibrahima Konaté, RB Leipzig’s Castello Lukeba and Arsenal’s William Saliba are all mentioned. A report in Diario AS, meanwhile, adds that Huijsen “meets the criteria” for a Madrid signing: namely his age, experience in a top league, and quality to reach the highest level.

Per Fabrizio Romano (via @iMiaSanMia), though, Bayern Munich is not out of the mix (nor are Liverpool FC, Chelsea FC, and Newcastle United) just yet:

Bayern sent their scouts several times to follow Dean Huijsen and they keep having his name on their list. Chelsea, Newcastle and Liverpool are also closely monitoring the situation. Release clause is worth £50m (€60m) valid from this summer.

Bayern Munich still should consider adding a center-back even if it is not Huijsen, but the youngster is appealing nonetheless. As for Real Madrid, it could get its man, as the young center-back looks to be one of Europe’s most promising defenders.

Leipzig sets market for Simons (@Plettigoal)

If Bayern Munich really does want Xavi Simons this summer, it might want to free up €80 million:

RB Leipzig want €80m for #Xavi if he decides to leave this summer, as per @philipphinze24. For Xavi a departure is possible, but staying is not ruled out either.

Leipzig aim to make a significant profit after signing him from PSG for €50m plus add-ons last winter.

Simons is a player who is rumored to be in the crosshairs of Bayern Munich board member for sport Max Eberl, but that price could be prohibitive if Bayern Munich is truly going to pursue Bayer Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz.

Bayern eyeing Roma keeper? (The Hard Tackle)

Despite the emergence of Jonas Urbig, Bayern Munich might be keeping one eye on the potential goalkeeper market for the summer:

Mile Svilar might have a decision to make on his future in the summer as the likes of Chelsea and Bayern Munich express an interest.

According to Corriere della Sera, Mile Svilar emerges as a target for Chelsea and Bayern Munich ahead of the summer. The AS Roma keeper has been in a good run of form for the Serie A giants, as he may have a big career decision on his hands in the close season.

Many top teams are expected to enter the market for a goalkeeping signing, with Chelsea and Bayern Munich one of those eager to bring in a stopper. There are plenty of options evaluated in the market, and starting with the Premier League giants, have a visible problem between the sticks.

Svilar also has Bayern Munich’s interest, with the Bavarians in the market for a keeper with the view of a long-term replacement for Manuel Neuer. The latter has not shown any signs of slowing down just yet, as his form has scuppered many potential talents reaching their heights at the club. Whether such a role will entice Svilar remains the question, as the Roma stopper might only move if there’s guaranteed game time ahead.

Alonso pushing for Mudryk? (Fichajes via 90Min.com)

If Xabi Alonso does not leave Bayer Leverkusen this summer, the head coach might have an idea on how to get a reclamation on the cheap — Chelsea FC attacker Mykhailo Mudryk:

Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso has urged the Bundesliga side to sign Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk this summer if he is not hit with an extended doping ban.

The extent of a potential ban for Mudryk has still not been determined, but a change of scenery might be something he is interested in regardless of how long he might have to sit out. As for Leverkusen, the club might need to get creative to replace talent this summer, which could make Mudryk a game worth taking,

Bayern Munich was rumored to be interested in Mudryk as well.

Hainer lauds Moose (t-online via @iMiaSanMia)

Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer had some great things to say about Jamal Musiala.

”Jamal Musiala can become FC Bayern’s next world best footballer, and when you have players like that in your team in the long term, it’s a signal [to other players] that you can achieve big goals with us. Jamal will be a face of the new generation of FC Bayern – he has internalized what it means to play here, and feels home at the club and in the city,” said Hainer. “He’s already showing that our fans will one day rave about him, just like they do about Franz Beckenbauer or Thomas Müller. Everyone who signs here must have the will to become a club legend.”

Gnabry dishes on Musiala (Bundesliga.com via @iMiaSanMia)

Bayern Munich winger Serge Gnabry was recently asked about Jamal Musiala and what he is like off the field:

A word on Jamal [Musiala]. We all know his development, his skills and ability on the pitch. If you look beyond this, what kind of guy is he? On social media, we’ve got to know him as a fashion, music and sports-interested guy, just like you. Can you confirm that?

Gnabry: “Definitely can confirm that. A fun guy. Likes to be in a good mood, to enjoy things, to have a little laughter. And from the other side, definitely into fashion, music, basketball. Always watches his highlights. So, I can confirm.”
