Martin Odegaard says he would absolutely love to sign £38m Real Madrid player for Arsenal

Martin Odegaard has named the one player in world football he would most like to sign for Arsenal.

Arsenal have a number of transfer targets in mind ahead of the summer transfer window.

Arsenal want Alexander Isak in the summer, while Nico Williams is expected to join Arsenal according to some reports.

Williams may be a top Arsenal target, but it’s another La Liga winger that Martin Odegaard would like to bring to the Emirates.

Indeed, speaking to TV2 Sport, Odegaard has named Real Madrid’s Vinicius Jr as the player he would most like to sign for the Gunners.

Martin Odegaard would sign Vinicius Jr at Arsenal

Odegaard named Vinicius Jr as the player he would most like to sign for Arsenal.

The midfielder had previously named Vinicius as the best player in the world, so, naturally, he said that he thinks the Brazilian would be the perfect signing for the Gunners.

The £38m man has been in red hot form for Real Madrid over the past 12 months, scoring a crucial goal in last season’s Champions League final.

“If you could sign any player for Arsenal, who would you take?” Odegaard was asked.

“Now I just said that Vinicius is the best in the world so it’s natural to take him,” Odegaard said.

Vinicius Jr record vs English clubs

Vinicius Jr is one of the world’s top talents, but, unfortunately, we may never get to see the Brazilian in the Premier League.

Indeed, Real Madrid are rarely in the business of selling their best players, and it’s likely that Vinicius won’t ever make his way to England.

However, we have seen Vinicius play against a number of English clubs in the Champions League, and his record against these sides is stellar.

Vinicius faces off against Arsenal in the next round of the Champions League, and he may well show Odegaard why he is the best player in the world.

Ben White has previously commented on Vinicius’ ability, and in a few weeks’ time, he’ll experience first-hand just how good the Real Madrid star is.

Odegaard would love Vinicius at Arsenal, but it’s fair to say such a move is very unlikely.
