Chelsea Are Huge Admirers Of This Real Madrid Superstar: Is The Signing Possible?

3 Min Read

According to TBR Football, Chelsea are huge admirer of Real Madrid attacker Vinicius Junior. The Premier League club would love to have the Brazilian at their disposal but the signing seems impossible to pull off in the summer transfer window.

Vinicius Junior needs no introduction

The rise and success of Vinicius Junior has been one of the best things that has happened to the sport in recent years. He had a slow start at Real Madrid but his performance kept on getting better and better. Today he is regarded as one of the best attackers in the world.

Vinicius is delivering good numbers despite the arrival of Kylian Mbappe. The former has netted 18 goals and provided 11 assists in 39 games. He is averaging 2.9 shots, 1.9 key passes, and 2.8 dribbles per game (stats via whoscored).

The Brazilian winger is known for his sheer pace, incredible dribbling skills and clinical finishing touches. He is a good carrier of the ball and links-up well. He has a tendency of performing on big occassions though the player faces heat for his immature behaviour at times.

Can Chelsea sign Vinicius Junior?

Chelsea have been surprisingly linked with a move for Vinicius Junior. It’s natural for them to admire the player but signing him isn’t something that can happen so easily.

The Brazilian is receiving strong interest from Saudi Arabia and they are probably ready to offer him mouth watering wages. Recent reports state that Real Madrid aren’t ready to increase Vinicius’ salary and would be open to sell him if they get an offer above £200 million.

From this it can be understood that Chelsea aren’t even near to getting their hands on the 24-year-old. They need reinforcement in multiple positions and cannot afford to buy a single player for £200 million. Hopefully they will have able to explore some better alternatives in the market.
