The Tottenham striker was tasked with picking between Erling Haaland, Alexander Isak and Chris Wood as he tried to name the three best strikers in the division.

Solanke named Haaland as the best striker in the league, but he did reserve some special praise for Alexander Isak.

Of course, this comes after Isak was strongly linked with a move to Arsenal.

Solanke described Isak’s recent form as being ‘crazy’. Claiming that he’s a really good striker with even more room to grow and improve.

Isak has been valued at £200m by some recently, and Arsenal are keen to sign him.

Dominic Solanke hails Alexander Isak

Solanke ranked Isak as the second-best striker in the Premier League, just behind Erling Haaland.

The Spurs ace says that Haaland is just ahead of Isak due to the sheer number of goals he’s scored, but he did hail Isak for his performances this season.

“It’s tough because on current form, Isak is on a crazy run at the moment, but Haaland has scored however many goals as well,” Solanke said.

“Isak is in great form right now.

“Yeah, I think he’s very good, on the ball he’s very good as well, he brings more than just goals, he still has more to give, and yeah, he’s a great striker.”

Solanke shared his verdict on who the best three strikers are in the Premier League.

2. Alexander Isak
3. Chris Wood

The England ace picked Haaland as the division’s best striker, while Isak was in second place ahead of Chris Wood.

All three players are enjoying brilliant campaigns, but the numbers show that Solanke has probably got this one right.

Erling Haaland can often be taken for granted due to the standards he has set over the years, but, make no mistake about it, he’s still the best striker in the league, even if his team are underperforming.

Who knows? Perhaps if Isak joins a team like Arsenal that is more ball-dominant and creative, perhaps he could overtake Haaland in terms of goalscoring next season.

Isak is a top player, but he still has a little way to go to be considered the best striker in the Premier League.
