Tottenham are having a terrible time of it, and Ange Postecoglou is under pressure at the moment.
However, somehow, it hasn’t all been doom and gloom for Spurs this season.
Indeed, amid all of the troubles Spurs have been having this season, some young players have shone.
Lucas Bergvall has received plenty of praise this season, while Mikey Moore has been tipped for big things too.
Speaking to Goal, Heung-Min Son has been asked to name a young player in world football who will achieve big things.
The Korean actually picked one of Spurs’ young stars as his answer, claiming that Archie Gray will have a big future.
Heung-Min Son says Archie Gray will achieve big things
Son named the young player he believes will achieve big things.
Son says that Gray will have a big future.
The attacker has seen his fair share of top young players come through at Tottenham over the years from Dele Alli to Destiny Udogie, and he believes Gray is on track to have a great career.
“One young player who will achieve big things?
“Archie Gray,” Son said.
What Archie Gray has said about Heung-Min Son
Son is clearly a big fan of Gray, and the feeling appears to be mutual in the opposite direction too.
Indeed, Gray has been full of praise for Son in the past, not only as a player, but as a person too.
Gray says that Son is one of the nicest people he’s ever met, and he’s also a world-class player.
“He’s definitely a world-class player and as a person, he’s probably one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met,” Gray said
“Ever since I first moved to the club, he always sat down and had breakfast with me every morning.
“Which, for a new player at the club – you look at players like Sonny, Madders [James Maddison], all of them in the squad to be fair – you wouldn’t really expect them to go out of their way to speak to the new 18-year-old who’s just come from a Championship club.
“To be fair to them, they’ve helped me settle in really well and everyone has been amazing with me.”
Son appears to have taken Gray under his wing, and if Gray follows Son’s standards in terms of professionalism and application, he won’t go too far wrong.
Son may be having a difficult season at Tottenham, but he remains one of the best professionals in the game, and he makes for a great role model for any young player at Spurs.
