Some of Liverpool’s biggest names are back at Anfield later today as Liverpool Legends take on Chelsea in the club’s annual charity match for the LFC Foundation.
Steven Gerrard will be among those gracing the hallowed turf once again, alongside the likes of Peter Crouch, Sami Hyypia and Dirk Kuyt. Meanwhile, Liverpool Women’s legend Natasha Dowie will be making history.
And there are plenty of big names on the Chelsea side too, with the likes of Gary Cahill, John Obi Mikel and Gianfranco Zola pulling on the boots once again, and all for a good cause on what is sure to be a great day at Anfield.

What time is kick-off?
The game kicks off at 3pm in the UK, which is 8am Pacific Time and 11am Eastern Time in the US. It will be played at Anfield as usual, with the Reds’ Legends having last played 12 months ago against Ajax – a game which saw Liverpool win 4-2 with goals from Gregory Vignal, Djibril Cisse, Nabil El Zhar and Fernando Torres.
How can I watch the game?
Fans in both the US and UK will be able to watch the game live, with it being streamed live on Liverpool’s YouTube and Facebook channels. If you’re a subscriber to LFCTV, you can also watch the game live there and on LFCTV GO.
And if you happen to be a Chelsea fan, the Official Chelsea App and official Chelsea website will also offer a match pass that will cost £5.99 in the UK.
Who is playing for Liverpool and Chelsea?
It will be a star-studded occasion at Anfield, with both Liverpool and Chelsea boasting some big names from their past. Chief among those from a Reds perspective will be Steven Gerrard, with the former Liverpool captain making his return.
The likes of Peter Crouch, Sami Hyypia and Dirk Kuyt will also be in action, although Martin Skrtel will miss out on a return to the Anfield turf after picking up an injury. Sir Kenny Dalglish takes charge of the Reds, and he will be assisted by Ian Rush, John Aldridge and John Barnes.
As for Chelsea, Roberto Di Matteo’s side has some of Stamford Bridge’s biggest names from recent years, including Ginafranco Zola, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Claude Makelele. There will also be history made in the game, with Natasha Dowie becoming the first woman to represent Liverpool Legends, while Katie Chapman will be featuring for Chelsea.
