Who will join Bayern Munich’s squad this summer…
Bayern Munich is deep into planning its summer transfer window activities and has — once again — assembled a “shadow squad.”
The key behind this initiative is to identify the top two options at each positions and then seek to sell the third-option (per Sport Bild via @iMiaSanMia):
Eberl and Freund have created a shadow squad for the upcoming season. The bosses want to return to a dual-player format, as was the case under Salihamidžić. If a player is too many in one position, he is considered a candidate for sale.
What is not clear from the report is which players are being targeted to bolster the squad this summer. A center-back, at least one winger, and a back-up striker appear to be at the top positions in need. As far as top candidates for the spots to go, that is also an unknown, but there is no doubt that Max Eberl and Christoph Freund have already doing some leg work.
