The Bayern legend is not sure if he’ll ever return to the club for work…
Every now and again we hear rumors of Philipp Lahm making a return to Bayern Munich in some kind of leadership capacity.
However, Lahm does not seem all that certain that he will have a future in the club’s front office or any other position.
“I don’t know if that will ever happen. We’ll see. The role has to be right, and the timing has to be right. I’m very relaxed about that,” Lahm told Abendzeitung journalist Maximilian Koch (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
Lahm will always be someone who is in the mix for a leadership position in Bayern Munich, but the longer time goes on, the less likely it seems that Lahm will make the jump. Some of Lahm’s ex-teammates like Manuel Neuer and Thomas Müller could also be considered for big front office positions at the club as well.
Wherever he ends up, Lahm will likely continue to be successful.
