It’s the hunger, desire, passion, and the like
After a rather grueling back and forth and countless reports going in different directions, Joshua Kimmich ultimately extended his contract with Bayern Munich to 2029 while he is now in his 10th season with the club. Speaking in an interview (as captured by Twitter account @iMiaSanMia), he revealed that Bayern had something interesting over the other clubs that showed interest:
“The most important thing for me was the sporting package”, Kimmich said. “As an athlete, you have a 15-year career and want to have the maximum possible success. I asked myself the question: can I have that here? I have to say that I believe, yes. We have a very good coach, a very exciting team, we had contract extensions recently. That was important for me to see. Is the club ambitious enough to say we want to win the Champions League? I have the feeling that we can. That was the most important thing”.
The club is mounting a serious charge in Europe and in the league despite some stumbling here and there, but they have the goods to bag both trophies by the end of the season.
