Chelsea transfer news: Five loan players to be sold in summer, one star to earn reprieve?

3 Min Read

Chelsea have reportedly already decided to try to cash in on as many as five loanees during the summer transfer window.

There are currently as many as 21 Blues players who are out on loan at a Premier League, EFL or worldwide-based club.

Andrey Santos, who is at Strasbourg, is one player who is highly likely to be integrated into Enzo Maresca‘s squad for the 2025-26 campaign.

However, given the incomings that could materialise over the coming months, it is realistic to expect that many of the players currently elsewhere do not have futures at Stamford Bridge.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, five Chelsea squad members will be pushed closer to the exit door once their respective loans have ended.

Which Chelsea players are on transfer list?

Romano says that Kepa Arrizabalaga, Axel Disasi, Ben Chilwell, Raheem Sterling and Armando Broja will not be reintegrated back into the fold.

There will be no surprise over Arrizabalaga, currently on loan at Bournemouth, due to the Spain international being a high-earner who will have just 12 months remaining on his contract.

Similar applies to Chilwell and Sterling, who are at Crystal Palace and Arsenal, with the duo having been phased out by Maresca since his arrival.

Broja has made just seven appearances at Everton and will not be considered for a return, yet Disasi is impressing at Aston Villa.

Nevertheless, the Frenchman, despite representing Chelsea during the first half of 2024-25, will be seemingly shown the exit door.

Felix future remains in balance?

Joao Felix was allowed to link up with AC Milan during the winter transfer window and was seemingly interested in remaining at San Siro in the long term.

However, the Italian giants have been left insufficiently impressed by the Portuguese playmaker and he is likely to return to West London.

An acceptable proposal would realistically leave Chelsea ready to sell Felix, yet it is claimed that there remains the possibility of being reintegrated back into Maresca’s senior group.
