This would be good news (fingers crossed)…
One of the worst things to happen to Bayern Munich over the international break was the knock suffered by Alphonso Davies while playing for Canada.
It is unknown what the severity is at the moment, but Canada’s assistant coach Mauro Biello did not seem to think it was overly serious.
“I don’t have the full doctor’s report, [but] they’re evaluating him. I think it was a knock. He felt something, and he just didn’t want to risk it at that point. He was banged up from the other game against Mexico, so, you know, he decided the best thing was for him to come off,” Biello told Canadian Soccer Daily (as captured by @iMiaSanMia),
Let’s hope that Biello is guessing correctly. Either way, though, this is an awful time for Davies to be dealing with any type of injury/knock/ailment.
For what it is worth, Davies seems to think he is okay.
