Justin Kluivert has claimed that he does not expect his Bournemouth teammate Dean Huijsen to still be at the club next season amid interest from Spanish giants Real Madrid.
Kluivert and Huijsen have been on opposing teams during the international league for the UEFA Nations League quarter-final clash between the Netherlands and Spain.
The winger started both legs against Luis de la Fuente‘s side, while Huijsen was given his first international start for Sunday’s home fixture after coming off the bench to make his Spain debut in Thursday’s 2-2 draw in Rotterdam.
Huijsen came out on the winning side as Spain held their nerve in a penalty shootout to progress to set up a semi-final tie against France.
The Spain centre-back continued his memorable season by providing an assist for Lamine Yamal to score Spain’s third goal in the 3-3 draw.

Kluivert drops Huijsen bombshell
Huijsen was called up to replace the injured Inigo Martinez after impressing with his performances for Bournemouth this season.
The Spain international is already being linked with a move away from the Vitality Stadium despite only joining Andoni Iraola‘s side from Juventus last summer.
Kluivert has indicated that Huijsen’s time on the South Coast is coming to an end, admitting that he does not expect his teammate to be on the South Coast next season.
“He plays for Bournemouth with me,” Kluivert told Marca. “He is a great player. Spain has a phenomenon for so many years.
“He is truly amazing. He came to England in the summer and adapted fantastically. He is so young and he already plays for Spain – and he plays like this.
“I’m sure he will have a lot of offers in the summer. And we all know that next year he won’t be with us at Bournemouth.”

Real Madrid leading race for Huijsen
Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool and Newcastle United are among the clubs who are in the race for the Bournemouth defender.
However, Real Madrid are believed to be in pole position for his signature after stepping up their pursuit over the international break.
Huijsen recently fuelled the transfer speculation by conceding it was an “honour” to be linked with a move to Real Madrid.
