Liverpool news and transfers LIVE: Huijsen inquiry, Bastoni asking price ‘revealed’

The international break is in full swing and plenty of Liverpool fans will be counting down the days until the Reds return to action.

There are still eight days to go until Arne Slot’s men resume their campaign with the Merseyside derby at Anfield on April 2, but the break arguably came at the right time for the Reds off the back of damaging losses to PSG and Newcastle.

Sunday was a mixed day for the Liverpool players who are on international duty, as Virgil van Dijk, Cody Gakpo, Andy Robertson and Dominik Szoboszlai all suffered Nations League disappointment. However, Diogo Jota came off the bench as Portugal progressed to the semi-finals with a 5-3 aggregate victory over Denmark, while Ibrahima Konate and Kostas Tsimikas were unused substitutes in victories for France and Greece respectively.

In transfer news, the Reds have reportedly inquired about Bournemouth’s Dean Huijsen, while it will apparently take an offer of around $80 million or more to tempt Inter Milan into considering selling Alessandro Bastoni.
