Liverpool have entered the race to sign one of Europe’s top strikers as Arne Slot looks to add more firepower to his squad in the summer.
Strikers are set to be one of the hottest topics of the upcoming summer transfer window, with English clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool all wanting to sign one.
Mikel Arteta has needed a new number nine for some time now, meanwhile, across London, Chelsea are also keen to sign competition for Nicolas Jackson.
Several big-name options could be available and the Reds look to have thrown their hat in the ring for one who has 20 league goals to his name this season.
Liverpool considering move for Victor Osimhen
Liverpool are one of three Premier League clubs who are thinking about signing Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, according to Gazzetta Dello Sport.
Osimhen has a £62 million release clause at Napoli who are eager to offload the striker given the fact that his future in Naples looks to be over.
The Italian giants opted to send him out on loan last summer to Galatasaray where he is continuing his fine goal-scoring form.
The 26-year-old has netted 20 goals in 22 Turkish Super League appearances making him the top scorer in the division.
However, Liverpool are not the only club who are thinking about signing him, Arsenal, Manchester United Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus also have him on their list of targets.
TBR Football revealed last month that Manchester United sent scouts to watch Osimhen in action and he netted a brace in front of them as Galatasaray beat Rizespor.
Chelsea fans are also keen to sign Osimhen with the West London club having made a move to sign him last summer.
Victor Osimhen’s terrific goal breakdown this season
