Endrick drops Real Madrid exit hint as Brazil star opens up on World Cup fears

Endrick has hinted at a possible Real Madrid exit after he revealed that he fears his lack of playing time could cost him a place in Brazil‘s World Cup squad.

The 18-year-old forward has struggled to obtain regular game time since he arrived in the Spanish capital from Palmeiras last summer.

Endrick has started just four of his 28 competitive appearances for Los Blancos, with three of his opportunities coming in the Copa del Rey.

In fact, the Brazilian youngster is still waiting for his first La Liga start, while he has only appeared in two of Real Madrid’s last seven league matches.

Endrick’s lack of minutes initially cost him a place in the squad for Brazil’s 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Colombia and Argentina.

Endrick reveals World Cup fears

The Real Madrid attacker was eventually called into the setup after Neymar was forced to pull out of the squad due to injury.

Endrick, who was an unused substitute for Thursday’s win over Colombia, has admitted that he fears he could miss out on Dorival Junior‘s squad for next year’s World Cup if he fails to get more minutes with Real Madrid, seemingly opening the door to a potential departure in search of regular game time.

“To tell you the truth, what goes through my head a lot is that I’m afraid I won’t be in the World Cup,” Endrick said in an interview with Brazil legend Romario.

“You [Romario] have been through it, too, my dad even told me that you were hoping and didn’t get a call-up [for France 98].

Endrick discusses Real Madrid challenge

“Of course, it’s difficult, being at the biggest club in the world, with the biggest players, and you can’t always have the opportunity to play.

“But whenever I play, I want to be able to show a bit of myself to be in the national team. I hope that next year I can be in the national team and if God wills it, we’ll win the World Cup.”

Endrick has scored three goals in 13 appearances for his country since he made his international debut in November 2023.

The teenager will hope to play a role in Brazil’s next assignment against rivals Argentina in Tuesday’s 2026 World Cup qualifier in Buenos Aires.
