Liverpool have been in sensational form in the Premier League this season and are the favourites to win the title. However, they have been knocked out of the Round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League and lost the final of the EFL Cup against Newcastle United. The club will look to strengthen the team even more in the summer so that they can compete for all the titles next season.

The Reds might be focusing on a new striker, given that Darwin Nunez has failed to perform for the Reds and might be on his way out of Anfield. There are also uncertainties regarding the future of Mohamed Salah as the Egyptian’s contract ends this summer. Fichajes has reported that Liverpool are interested in signing Harry Kane from Bayern Munich.

Kane was a world-class striker for Tottenham but did not manage to win any title with them. So, he made the move to the Bundesliga in search of a title. He is set to win the Bundesliga this season and still has two years left in his contract with the club. The Englishman has continued with his good form and is still consistently scoring the goals.

Kane has scored 21 goals in 24 matches so far in the Bundesliga 2024/2025 season. He has amassed a G/A of 27 so far this season. His goal involvement equates to 1.31 per 90 minutes. Kane’s non-penalty xG per 90 minutes is 0.64.

Bayern’s talismanic striker and England’s captain is a masterclass in modern forward play. His lethal finishing—sharp with either foot—makes him a constant goal threat, while his uncanny knack for dropping deep to link play sets him apart. Kane’s vision and pinpoint passing turn him into a playmaker disguised as a No. 9, threading balls with surgical precision. Physically imposing yet deceptively agile, he shrugs off defenders and thrives under pressure. The Englishman’s work rate is relentless, and his cool-headedness in clutch moments—like penalties—is legendary. The Bayern star has the brains, brawn, and brilliance which makes him a complete, world-class striker.

Is this a good decision?

Bayern will certainly not want to sell their world-class striker but the report has revealed that Liverpool are ready to spend €120 million for Kane. He is a world-class striker who will definitely thrive under Arne Slot. The Reds do need a world-class striker leading their line and scoring goals for fun. It will give them the best chance to have a god at all titles next season. So, it is a good decision from Slot’s team.
