Crystal Palace No.10 Eberechi Eze scored his first goal for England in the 3-0 win over Latvia on Monday night.
The man from Greenwich took his chance to impress Thomas Tuchel on his ninth cap for the Three Lions, cutting inside from the left and twisting a couple of defenders inside out, before smashing a low effort into the back of the net.
In doing so, the 26-year-old became the first Crystal Palace player to score for England since Peter Taylor back in 1976.

Eberechi Eze struck up a strong bond with Michael Olise at Crystal Palace before the winger moved to Bayern Munich last summer – and the France international has now sent the England international a message on Instagram.
What Michael Olise sent to Eberechi Eze
The Bayern Munich No.17 sent the Crystal Palace maestro a wordless message on Instagram after seeing his friend score for England, showing an emoji of a face exhaling to suggest he was impressed by the strike, along with a heart – as you can see below.

Coincidentally, Olise scored his first senior international goal just days before Eze on Sunday, netting a fantastic freekick as France secured a 2-0 win over Croatia, before assisting Ousmane Dembele too.

Eberechi Eze might follow Michael Olise in leaving Crystal Palace
The Londoner could depart Crystal Palace this summer after another impressive campaign.
TBR Football understand Tottenham are desperate to sign Eze – who Ange Postecoglou admires – with Spurs in need of a significant summer. The north Londoners are currently 14th in the Premier League.

Newcastle have also been linked with Eze – and the Magpies are also set for a big summer as Eddie Howe looks to kick on after winning the Carabao Cup.
The attacking midfielder still has a contract at Crystal Palace which runs until July 2027 – but with a release clause worth £68m becoming active this summer, the south Londoners could well lose the England star.
