Despite Arsenal sitting well away from these sides in second place, the Gunners are casting an eye towards the lower end of the table, with Leicester No.11 Bilal El Khannouss on the radar.

Arsenal want Bilal El Khannouss

A story by Africa Foot now states that Arsenal are keen to sign the Morocco international this summer.

The African news outlet claim that the Gunners are the side most keen to sign El Khannouss – who Liverpool also like – after his impressive debut campaign in the Premier League, following a £21m move from Genk to Leicester in August.

In 28 appearances for the Foxes across all competitions this season, the 20-year-old has scored three goals and provided three assists, proving to be a bright spark in a dismal season for Leicester, who are currently 19th on 17 points and looking set for an immediate return to the Championship.

One of those three goals was a tremendous curled effort to secure a 2-1 win at Tottenham, a strike which would make the Moroccan an immediate favourite at the Emirates Stadium if a deal materialises, given the north London rivalry.

Africa Foot add that Lazio and RB Leipzig are also keen to sign El Khannouss, who initially struggled in England, this summer.

The best players to be relegated from the Premier League

There is no shame in being relegated from the Premier League, as some truly exceptional talents have bounced back from such heartache.

Liverpool in particular have capitalised on this market well, taking Andy Robertson and Xherdan Shaqiri from Hull and Stoke respectively, as well as Georginio Wijnaldum after Newcastle dropped.

Prior to them, the likes of Roy Keane, Joe Cole and Michael Carrick have been relegated from the Premier League, so it is pleasing to see Arsenal look to take advantage of this fruitful market.
