Jordon Ibe was another of Liverpool’s quickest players around that time, and speaking on Filthy Fellas, Ibe has named another Liverpool player as one of the quickest at Liverpool during his time at the club.
Alberto Moreno was one of the fastest players at Liverpool
According to Ibe, Alberto Moreno was the fastest player at Liverpool when he was at the club.
Nathaniel Clyne has previously commented on Moreno’s pace too.
Moreno was released by Liverpool a few years ago, but he was a seriously speedy player during his time at Anfield.
“Who was faster than you at Liverpool?” Ibe was asked.
“Moreno,” Ibe said.
“Oh, Albert Moreno. Moreno was fast. He was quite sharp. It’s probably be out of Moreno, me, Raheem at the time.
“Was Daniel (Sturridge) fast?” Ibe was asked.
“Yeah, but we’re talking like, if we’re racing like 100 meters. We do that after training, but Daniel like 30 yards, 40 yards. Yeah, he’s quick,” Ibe said.
How fast is Alberto Moreno?
Alberto Moreno may be 32 years old now, but he’s still one of the faster players in world football.
Indeed, according to The Speeds Database, Moreno is stil absolutely rapid.
The left-back, has clocked in a top speed of 33.5 km/h recently, and that would still rank him up there among Liverpool’s fastest players to this day.

Moreno would still be Liverpool’s sixth-fastest player if he was at Anfield today, so it’s easy to believe he was the club’s quickest player in his prime.
The £12m defender wasn’t necessarily the best player during his time at Liverpool, but he did become something of a cult hero at the club due to how much he loved the Reds.
Moreno would win the Europa League with Villarreal a few years ago, beating Manchester United in the final, much to the delight of Liverpool fans who enjoyed seeing one of their former players get one over United.
