Tottenham have suffered a disastrous season and have to improve the team in the summer transfer window if they need to compete next season. The Lillywhites will mainly look to strengthen the attack because Richarlison, Bryan Gil and Alejo Valiz might be leaving the club at the end of the season. Meanwhile, Son Heung-Min is also at the fag end of his career. So, the club need wingers as well to reinforce and strengthen their attacking output.

Tottenham are interested in signing Jamie Gittens

Give Me Sport has reported that the Spurs are interested in the services of the Borussia Dortmund player Jamie Gittens and want to sign him this summer. He is one of the best young talents in the Bundesliga and he has shown it in the ongoing season. Gittens has scored 7 goals in 26 matches so far in the Bundesliga 2024/2025 season. He has amassed a G/A of 10 so far this season. The Englishman’s goal involvement equates to 0.56 per 90 minutes. His non-penalty xG per 90 minutes is 0.40.

Borussia Dortmund’s sensational winger is a stunning force on the pitch. At just 20, his explosive pace and elite dribbling skills make him a nightmare for defenders, often leaving them gasping for air. A high-volume ball carrier, Gittens thrives in one-on-one battles, using quick feet and sharp instincts to glide past markers.

His right-footed flair shines whether he is cutting inside or bursting down the flank. While the Englishman’s work rate and final-third impact are still maturing, Gittens’ knack for game-changing moments—be it goals or key runs—marks him as a raw, thrilling talent with a sky-high ceiling.

He has made good progress and has shown talent on the football pitch. All these qualities have made him an important target for many high-profile clubs in the upcoming transfer window. Spurs want him and are making plans to lure the youngster to their club. However, the 20-year-old is a very important player for the club, and Dortmund will not let him leave easily. The report adds that the Bundesliga club are demanding £83 million for his sale.

Should they make the move?

He is a world-class young talent and could be a sensational signing for Tottenham. The 20-year-old will provide quality and depth to the attacking half. However, the Spurs need to rethink the price tag as they have a number of bases to cover. So, they might not be able to spend that much on a single player. It remains to be seen what finally happens in the transfer window.
