Liverpool look set to lose Trent Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid on a free transfer this summer.
TBR Football have been told Liverpool offered a record-breaking contract to the England international in a bid to keep him at Anfield, which would have made him the best-paid English player in the Premier League.
However, the chance to represent Real Madrid – alongside a close friend in Jude Bellingham – has seemingly proven too tempting to reject for the Liverpool academy graduate.
Trent Alexander-Arnold is undoubtedly one of Liverpool’s best players, with three goals and seven assists in 39 games across all competitions so far this season, so Arne Slot will need a new right-back despite the presence of Conor Bradley, with Tutto Mercato Web now naming Andrea Cambiaso as a target.

The Italian news outlet now state that Liverpool are particularly keen on the Italy international after learning of Alexander-Arnold’s desires.
Manchester City also like Cambiaso – while Tutto Mercato Web add that Arsenal are keen as well – although Liverpool are described as the ones to watch after Juventus placed a €65m (£54m) price tag on the defender.
The Juventus No.27 – who is one of the best defenders in Serie A – has scored two goals and provided three assists in 35 appearances across all competitions so far this season.

TBR Football understand Slot likes Jeremie Frimpong of Bayer Leverkusen – and would ideally like to sign his fellow countryman if the Liverpool No.66 does join Real Madrid.

The 25-year-old has made 26 appearances on the left so far this season, along with nine on the right.
Liverpool want Milos Kerkez to improve the left-back department amid doubts over Kostas Tsimikas, but a move for Cambiaso would give Slot an option in both full-back positions, while also allowing room for Bradley to continue his development.
