Concacaf has announced the venue that will host the first match of the Concacaf Gold Cup 2025, which will feature Mexico, the current champion of the continental tournament. And it will be none other than at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, where El Tri lifted the Concacaf Nations League last Sunday.
“Concacaf has announced that the inaugural match of the 2025 Gold Cup, the 18th edition of the main competition for men’s national teams of the Confederation, will be played at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. The match, which will be played on Saturday, June 14, will include Mexico, champion of the Concacaf Nations League 2025, who will seek to defend their Gold Cup title after lifting the trophy at SoFi Stadium in 2023,” the organization said in an official statement.
