Daniel Levy has some big plans at Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
The North Londoners have had a really poor season so far. They are 14th in the Premier League table, out of both domestic cups, and their whole campaign now rests on the Europa League.
Ange Postecoglou is under enormous pressure at Spurs, and there is every chance he will be shown the door if the final months of the season don’t go well.
Irrespective of what happens in the business end of the season, Levy knows that Tottenham need reinforcements in the summer, and he is personally pushing to sign one player.
Daniel Levy has made it his ‘personal mission’ to sign Tyler Dibling for Tottenham
Tyler Dibling has been heavily linked with a move to Tottenham for several months now.
The talented teenager has impressed multiple clubs with his performances for Southampton since the start of this campaign. He is destined for a move to a bigger club.
TBR Football exclusively revealed this month that Tottenham believe they are the favourites to sign Dibling despite interest from other sides.
To protect their asset, Southampton have slapped a £100 million price tag on the 19-year-old, who has been hailed as a ‘crazy’ talent by Saints defender Yukinari Sugawara (Daily Echo).
GiveMeSport now claim that ‘Levy has made it his personal mission’ to sign Dibling and has been working on the deal for several weeks now.
The report says that Spurs could sign the teenager for ‘slightly more than £50 million’, even though that’s nowhere near Southampton’s asking price.
It has further been claimed that: “Levy has been looking to use the fact that the winger has only two years remaining on his £5,000-per-week contract to Spurs’ advantage, while it has been acknowledged that Saints’ demands are likely to drop if they are unable to pull off a great escape and maintain their top flight status.”

Tyler Dibling’s stats in 2024/25 compared to Tottenham’s attackers
Tottenham have several attackers in the squad, but not many of them have delivered this season.
Son Heung-min looks nothing like his usual self, while Brennan Johnson has come under enormous criticism – even though his numbers look good.
Timo Werner has been really poor and will be sent back after his loan, while Richarlison could be on the move after struggling to stay fit.
So, a new attacker is a necessity for Spurs, but is Dibling the one?
Age | Appearances | Goals | Assists | |
Tyler Dibling | 19 | 30 | 4 | 2 |
Son Heung-min | 32 | 40 | 11 | 11 |
Dejan Kulusevski | 24 | 42 | 10 | 10 |
Dominic Solanke | 27 | 33 | 11 | 8 |
James Maddison | 28 | 38 | 11 | 7 |
Brennan Johnson | 23 | 39 | 14 | 3 |
Timo Werner | 29 | 27 | 1 | 3 |
Richarlison | 27 | 14 | 3 | 1 |
Mathys Tel | 19 | 7 | 1 | 0 |
Wilson Odobert | 20 | 13 | 3 | 0 |
As the table shows above, Dibling is not a world-beater by any means, but the fact that he is still only 19 and has huge potential makes him a great option.
However, Spurs should be careful about splashing huge cash on the youngster this summer as there’s no guarantee he will be a success in the Premier League.
Levy sure seems to believe in Dibling, who has been compared to Gareth Bale. If he turns out to be anything like the Welshman, Spurs will not care how much they spent to sign him.
