Bayern Munich got the three points it needed…

Bayern Munich took on St. Pauli at the Allianz Arena and looked like a team that was still shaking off the international break.

Creative at times, choppy at others, Bayern Munich played down to the level of its competition in the league again at times, but also showed great resilience. The Champions League is important, but winning the Bundesliga should be the primary goal at the moment, so it was good to see the attacking group step up and shoulder the load.

Let’s dig into it, this is what we have on tap for the Bavarian Podcast Works — Postgame Show:

  • A look at the lineup and why some of the players left out were on the bench.
  • A rundown of the scoring and substitutions.
  • Some final takeaways from the match.
