TBR Football can exclusively confirm that former Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp could soon be offered a route back into management this summer.

Klopp departed Anfield last summer and, late last year, he agreed to becoming Head of Global Soccer for Red Bull – a role he took up in January.

The German has written his name into Liverpool’s history books after steering them to the game’s biggest prizes, including the Premier League title and the Champions League.

Now, three new management options are starting to open up to Klopp – one club and two international sides.

Klopp is not rushing to return to management, but TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey has learned that Klopp’s name is being discussed within the corridors of power at Real Madrid.

We understand that current Real head coach Carlo Ancelotti is ready to step away at the end of the season and he is ready to move into international management.

Ancelotti is firm favourite to take charge of Brazil – who have axed head coach Dorival.

Ironically, Brazil are one of the possible options for could present themselves to Klopp – but Ancelotti appears their first choice.

Knowing Ancelotti’s future is far from certain, Real have been working in the background and their former midfielder Xabi Alonso, currently in charge of Bayer Leverkusen, is very much the man who has emerged as their preferred candidate.

However, TBR Football understands that Real are doing work on other options and we believe one of those is Klopp.

There are some at Madrid who believe that a manager with experience may be required to take charge of the current Real squad – that is, a real blend of world superstars and young players, something that Klopp has extensive experience of.

The 57-year-old’s experience, though, is not only of interest to Real and Brazil.

We are told that Klopp is one of the names USA would look at, should they part company with Mauricio Pochettino.

The Argentine is experiencing something of a tough time since taking charge of the USMNT, whilst he has also been linked with a possible return to Tottenham Hotspur – who are increasingly likely to part company with Ange Postecoglou.

What Jurgen Klopp said about taking on a new role away from first-team management

When Klopp began his new role at Red Bull, he said he was keen on the football development side of things, something he felt he couldn’t do whilst in the dugout.

“I’ve been a leader for the last three decades, but I want to listen, I want to feel, I want to learn and I want to understand what the people did so far, because I can tell you they all did a brilliant job,” he said at his first press conference.

“It’s not that we’re starting from scratch, but to bring it all together, I think that’s a real challenge, to be honest. That’s what we’ll try to do.

“When you’re in the manager’s job, you have no time for that, because you play every three days and it’s just winning, winning, winning or dealing with defeat.

“Now I’m free of that. I have time and energy for all the other stuff. That’s why it was an easy decision for me. It’s a sports decision and I love the Red Bull sports idea. It’s exciting, it’s adventurous, it’s innovative and I want to be part of that – and now I am.”

“I always had this kind of idea about making people better, putting your arms under their wings, to really make them better. That was always my idea, so that’s no different.

“The only thing I did before was that I always worked with one club and now we have a few more. In my mind we want to be special and I really want to help the people to live that.”

In addition, Klopp previously pledged to never take another English football club job after leaving Anfield – all three of the aforementioned options would see him keep his word.
