Eyeing the extension…

Bayern Munich faced a tricky game against St. Pauli but overcame the challenge thanks to a strong Leroy Sané brace, helping the Rekordmeister win 3-2. Following the game, Sané discussed his performance and the win.

“It was a good win after the international break. For me the only focus is on performing and winning games, that’s what interests me. I get on well with the team. I feel comfortable here, I’m looking forward to this decisive phase of the season,” said Sané (as captured by @iMiaSanMia)

He continued, talking about his desire to stay at Bayern while reiterating his focus on his game: “Yes, I’ve already said that [I want to stay]. I’m focused on my performances, that’s the most important thing.”

There is a long road to a potential extension, but Sané is certainly treading the right path. With consistent performances akin to the one seen today, the Bayern board could be incentivized to offer Leroy a renewal. What did you think of Sané’s performance? Does he deserve an extension?
