Chelsea have reportedly made a €35m (£29m) offer for Atletico Madrid forward Giuliano Simeone, with the Blues determined to bring him to the Premier League during this summer’s transfer window.
The 22-year-old is the son of Atletico head coach Diego Simeone, and he has been a vital player for the Red and Whites this season, featuring on 37 occasions, scoring four times and registering seven assists in the process.
Simeone has one goal and five assists in 24 La Liga matches this season, while he managed one goal and two assists in nine Champions League fixtures before the team’s elimination to rivals Real Madrid in the round of 16.
The Argentina international has also contributed two goals in four Copa del Rey fixtures this term, with Atletico battling Barcelona for a spot in the final of the competition against either Real Madrid or Real Sociedad.
While Simeone’s output in terms of goals and assists is not particularly high for an attacker in a top European side, his overall work has made him an extremely important player for his father during the 2024-25 campaign.

Chelsea ‘make £29m offer for Atletico’s Simeone’
According to Fichajes, Chelsea are huge admirers of the South American, and the Blues have now placed a €35m (£29m) offer on the table in the hope of securing a deal before the opening of the summer transfer window.
The report claims that several major European clubs are also keeping a close eye on the situation, with Atletico open to a sale due to the fact that his departure would bring a profit to the Red and Whites.
Simeone started his youth career with River Plate, but he joined Atletico in 2019, progressing through the youth system at the club before making his first-team debut in 2022.
The forward spent the 2022-23 campaign on loan with Real Zaragoza before representing Alaves on loan last term, featuring on 16 occasions for the Basque outfit.
Simeone has featured in every Atletico La Liga match since the start of October, becoming a constant presence down the right for the capital giants, providing key balance to the side.

Would Simeone be a good signing for Chelsea?
Emotion would have to come out of it when Atletico are considering Simeone’s future, but the fact that he is such a vital player for his father and manager makes it a delicate situation.
That said, it is not difficult to understand why Chelsea are keen, with the Argentine showing his qualities throughout the season, and he certainly has the energy and skillset required to be a success in the Premier League.
Simeone would not be a hugely glamorous signing for the Blues, but when considering what he would bring to the side from a team point of view, it is a deal that makes a lot sense for the Premier League club this summer.
