That sounds like drama, except it’s not.

Cesc Fàbregas does not have too many good memories with Bayern Munich for the Bavarians were at their best when he met them.

During his Arsenal FC days, he did not have the opportunity to play against the Bavarians much. Those games that he did play, Bayern emerged victorious. Then the transfer to FC Barcelona happened in 2011. Fàbregas had the misfortune of being in the starting XI against Bayern during the 2012-23 Champions League semifinal, which the Blaugrana lost 7-0 on aggregate. Needless to say, Fàbregas has seen the best of die Roten.

Currently, the Spaniard coaches recently promoted Serie A side Como, for whom he played before his retirement. Interestingly enough, former Barcelona star Sergi Roberto plays currently for Como. They drew 1-1 to Empoli after a rather lacklustre performance and Fàbregas expressed his disappointment with the attitude of the players after the game. As reported by @iMiaSanMia, former midfielder believes that his players’ arrogance needs to end and that, they were under the perception that they play at Bayern Munich.

“I’m not happy with what I saw today. I didn’t like the attitude. I tell the players they need to get their feet back on the ground, some of them think they’re playing at Bayern Munich,” said Fàbregas.

The translation of this statement can be easily misinterpreted as Fàbregas speaking poorly of the Bavarians, but what he actually meant was that his players should be more grounded and stop playing with arrogance like they were at the level of Bayern Munich.
