Jan-Christian Dreesen refuses to complain about Bayern Munich’s numerous injuries…but vaguely threatens consequences as well

Complaining does not help Bayern overcome this tough period of games.

As a club official, it is easy to make excuses and point to uncontrollable factors such as refereeing, luck and injuries as reasons for a team’s decline. The latter is possibly the easiest excuse to make, but it never helps anyone get anywhere.

Bayern Munich seem to have acknowledged the same. In a difficult week that has seen Dayot Upamecano, Alphonso Davies and now Hiroki Itō suffer injuries, it would be so easy to attribute the single goal 3-2 victory over St. Pauli (The outrage! Just a one goal win! Humph!) to all the injuries but Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen refused to do so:

“Complaining doesn’t help, nor does looking back,” Bayern’s former CFO said, as captured by @iMiaSanMia. “But we can’t just forget about it or just put it aside and move on.”

What does that mean? They can’t move on from the injuries? Does that mean there will be consequences? Will Bayern continue to pursue legal action against Canada, as the club has already threatened to do so? Will Bayern change their approach to dealing with injuries? Or what could Dreesen mean?
