Sané finished with confidence. Twice.

After a brutal stretch of seven goalless appearances in the Bundesliga, Leroy Sané got back on track with two goals in Bayern Munich’s 3-2 win over FC St. Pauli. Sané’s contract expires this summer and he has been adamant that he wants to stay and fight for his place in squad, very similar to the path that Leon Goretzka and Kingsley Coman have taken this season.

Sané has increased his scoring tally in each Bundesliga season with Bayern, and 2024/25 will be no different.

Leroy Sané has now scored 9 goals this Bundesliga season, a new personal record for him [@OptaFranz]

Here are Sané’s Bundesliga scoring totals by season:

2020/21: 6 goals in 32 appearances, 18 starts, and 1,805 minutes

2021/22: 7 goals in 32 appearances, 22 starts, and 1,976 minutes

2022/23: 8 goals in 32 appearances, 20 starts, and 2,010 minutes

2023/24: 8 goals in 27 appearances, 25 starts, and 2,137 minutes

2024/25: 9 goals in 23 appearances, 13 starts, and 1,136 minutes

The most impressive part about this season is Sané’s efficiency, scoring every 126 minutes. He scored 10 Premier League goals in consecutive seasons for Manchester City. He has seven remaining contests to tie or break his career high.
