Nwaneri scored his first goal for England U21s as they defeated Portugal 4-2 during his first inclusion in Lee Carsley’s squad.

The 17-year-old has been so impressive for Arsenal this season despite still being so young and is now a big part of Mikel Arteta’s squad.

The teenager will only keep getting better with the FA now looking to be keeping close tabs on him as one of their most exciting young talents.

Ethan Nwaneri expected to soon be called up by Thomas Tuchel

Some members of the FA believe that it is only a matter of time before Arsenal forward Ethan Nwaneri breaks into Thomas Tuchel’s England squad, according to Sun Sport.

The FA have been particularly impressed by his professionalism, attitude and mentality, given how young and inexperienced he is.

His attitude towards training also appears to be exemplary as he is often one of the last players to leave the training pitches at St Geroge’s Park.

Nwaneri’s England teammate James McAtee has called him ‘world class’, meanwhile, Declan Rice has also tipped Nwaneri as one to watch for England.

Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly are expected to sign new Arsenal contracts soon, with the pair both currently in talks with the North London club over new deals.

The youngster picked up the ball about 25 yards from the goal and drove at the Portugese defence before curling his effort from outside the box past the goalkeeper.

It’s incredible to think how good he could become, considering the things he is doing at 17 and the potential impact he could have on the rest of the season for the Gunners.
