From Gonzalo Higuaín to Leonardo Campana and Josef Martínez, Inter Miami has seen its share of talented goalscorers in its short history. However, the arrival of Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez has taken the team’s attacking prowess to a new level. Robert Taylor’s recent goal against Philadelphia has also propelled him up the ranks. Messi leads the way in Inter Miami history

Inter Miami’s journey in Major League Soccer began in 2020. Due to its recent formation, the club led by David Beckham does not yet have historic goalscorers with impressive numbers, such as Landon Donovan at Los Angeles Galaxy (140 goals) or Jaime Moreno at DC United (131 goals). Even so, a renowned striker quickly stood out in his first two years on the team.

After a spectacular career in Europe, with spells at giants such as Real Madrid, Juventus, Milan, and Chelsea, Gonzalo Higuaín arrived in Fort Lauderdale in 2020 from Juventus. “El Pipita,” who arrived with the superstar label from the moment he set foot in Florida, did not disappoint: in 70 matches, he scored 29 goals (all in MLS) and provided 11 assists.

Lionel Messi, who has only been in Miami for a short time, has had a remarkable impact both on and off the field. Between MLS, the Leagues Cup, the US Open Cup, and the Concachampions, Messi has scored 38 goals in 44 matches. He surpassed the mark of Higuaín and Leonardo Campana, who reached 32 goals in 100 matches. Just behind him is Luis Suárez with 29 goals in 45 appearances.
