TBR Football exclusively uncovered on Wednesday that Liverpool believe they can sign Alexander Isak — with Darwin Nunez expected to leave Anfield at the end of the season as well.

While Arsenal are keen on signing Viktor Gyokeres in the event that they cannot sign Isak — with TBR Football revealing that the Reds are confident about beating the Gunners in a race to snap the Newcastle United marksman up.

Both clubs are expected to be the favourites to win the Premier League title next season and the addition of a transformative goalscorer could give either side an edge over the other.

Another big name who has been linked with both Liverpool and Arsenal is Hugo Ekitike.

Liverpool and Arsenal target Hugo Ekitike tipped for Premier League transfer

Liverpool’s interest in signing Ekitike first came to the fore in February.

But Arsenal are open to signing Ekitike as well.

Ekitike is ready to leave Eintracht Frankfurt and with the Frenchman registering 19 goals and eight assists this season, it is only natural that clubs are plotting a move for him.

Fabrizio Romano told GiveMeSport that he expects the Liverpool and Arsenal target to play in the Premier League next season: “I expect Ekitike to play in the Premier League next season, I said that 10 days ago and keep insisting as this is the feeling in the industry. There are contacts already but from several clubs, too early to indicate a favorite.”

Which Premier League club has Hugo Ekitike already held talks with?

The Frankfurt striker has all the attributes to become a success in England as he has an eye for goal, is technically gifted and rapid.

While Liverpool have asked to be kept informed about the 22-year-old’s future, Arsenal have held talks to sign Ekitike already — who is expected to cost just shy of £70 million.

As Fabrizio Romano claimed, there is no favourite yet in the race to sign the former Paris Saint-Germain centre-forward but Mikel Arteta’s side have shown a degree of proactiveness that could reward them in the future.
