Leicester City predicted XI vs. Man City: Possible lineup for Premier League match

2 Min Read

Leicester City are expected to make a number of attacking alterations to their side ahead of a daunting clash with Manchester City in the Premier League on Wednesday night.

The Foxes have failed to find the net in each of their last six top-flight matches, with all of those battles ending in defeat for the second-tier champions.

As a result, Ruud van Nistelrooy could shuffle his attacking ranks once again for the contest with the Citizens, meaning that Facundo Buonanotte might enter the XI at the expense of Patson Daka.

Possessing the second-worst defensive record in the division, Leicester are still scrambling to land on a suitable backline setup, although Wout Faes and Conor Coady appear assured of their spots under the current boss.

Natural full-back Luke Thomas started on left of a centre-back trio for the loss to Manchester United prior to the international break, although the 23-year-old could make way for Caleb Okoli at the Etihad.

Largely excluded from the first-team plans by previous head coach Steve Cooper, Boubakary Soumare is a genuine midfield option under Van Nistelrooy, however Harry Winks should partner Wilfred Ndidi in the engine room on the blue side of Manchester.

Despite failing to replicate his early-season heroics since returning from a groin injury, goalkeeper Mads Hermansen remains as the undisputed pick for Leicester in between the sticks.

Leicester City possible starting lineup: Hermansen; Faes, Coady, Okoli; Justin, Ndidi, Winks, Kristiansen; Buonanotte, El Khannous, Vardy
