Southampton have not seen the reaction they would have hoped for after appointing Ivan Juric in December.
The Croatian was hired at St Mary’s after a dismal first half of the campaign under Russell Martin, which saw the Saints lose 13 out of 16 Premier League games.
Unfortunately, the man born in Split has failed to ignite an upturn in form at Southampton, losing nine of his 11 Premier League games in charge with just a single win to show for his efforts.
In fairness, it was a difficult job to take at that stage of the season, although Carlos Corberan – who Southampton wanted before Juric – has managed to turn Valencia around, having also taken the reins in December.

TBR Football understand Southampton wanted Corberan before Juric – but looked elsewhere after baulking at the £2.5m compensation fee West Brom demanded.
Contrastingly, Valencia felt that £2.5m sum represented good value, and announced the Spaniard had been hired on Christmas Eve, when they sat 19th in La Liga.
Corberan has since masterminded 19 points from a possible 36 – moving Valencia out of the relegation zone and into 15th place – strongly suggesting he would have done a better job than Juric has on the south coast.

TBR Football understand Southampton are impressed by Liam Rosenior and the work he has done over at Strasbourg in France – who sit sixth in Ligue 1 and could still qualify for the UEFA Champions League.

The Saints are also admirers of Sheffield Wednesday boss Danny Rohl, although the German is believed to have a £5m release clause in his contract, which could prove problematic for Southampton.
It remains to be seen who manages Southampton next season – although Juric departing St Mary’s seems almost inevitable.
