Manchester United are one of several Premier League sides who are showing an interest in signing Olympique Lyon talent Rayan Cherki.
21-year-old Cherki has long been regarded as one of the most talented young players in Europe – several clubs have looked and held talks to sign the midfielder but there have been worries about his commitment to reaching the top.
Therefore, instead of being linked to Europe’s best, it was believed that the likes of Crystal Palace wanted Cherki, along with Everton and Atlanta, who were willing to battle it out for the Frenchman’s signature.
That level of interest impacted Cherki – he realised that Europe’s bigger clubs were not willing to take a chance on him for numerous reasons.
However, the Lyon playmaker has now been seen to dedicate himself to football once again, and the results have been impressive.
Man United are keeping close tabs of Rayan Cherki’s progress
In fact, TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey understands that Man United are one of the English clubs who have asked to be kept informed about Cherki’s situation.
Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa and Newcastle United are all interested too, a young midfielder who has seemingly changed his attitude this season.

So far from 26 starts for Lyon this campaign, Cherki has amassed eight goals and 17 assists, numbers which have captured attention once again.
In fact, Cherki also seriously impressed onlookers during France U21’s 5-3 win over England during the international break.
Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike scored a hat-trick in that game however many at the match felt as if Cherki was the real star of the show with two assists and a goal himself.
How much will Rayan Cherki cost this summer?
Fortunately for interested clubs, Cherki is understood to have an agreement with Lyon that will allow him to move on for less than £25m this summer.
Of course, Man United are set to face Lyon in the Europa League later this month, and his performances in that double-header will be of huge interest to his suitors.
TBR can confirm that Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain have also seen their interest re-ignited by Cherki’s form and the two European giants could also get involved this summer.
In terms of Cherki’s success this season, the 21-year-old has operated either as a number 10 or on the right, explaining why he could be a good fit for Ruben Amorim’s system.
And United will be wary of the French talent arriving at Old Trafford in opposition colours in the coming weeks, a player with eight assists and two goals in 10 Europa League outings this term.
