Bad optics for Bayern Munich…

The ongoing situation between Bayern Munich and Thomas Müller is giving off bad vibes to a lot of people, including former Bayern Munich and German national team player Lukas Podolski.

You can add Podolski to the list of folks, who do not understand why things are playing out with the club not even making an offer to the veteran star.

“He’s old enough and smart enough, and has more experience than anyone else, to decide for himself what to do. In the end, it’s a pity that the club is making the decision for him and not the other way around. Thomas Müller would have deserved to have it in his own hands. It’s a pity that a player who is so deeply rooted in the club, has achieved everything with the club, and is the face of the club, finds himself in such a situation,” Podolski told Watson.de (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).

The sentiment that Bayern Munich should have done…something is growing. There is a chance we will all learn more about the inner-workings of this situation soon, but as of now, it is starting to paint Bayern Munich’s handling of the situation in a bad light.
