The Monte Carlo local made it to the quarter-finals at the ATP 500 Rotterdam Open 2022. During the campaign, he defeated then world No. 11 Hubert Hurkacz in the second round.

In Monte Carlo, Musetti registered the second top 10 win of his career by defeating then world number 9 Felix Auger-Aliassime in the second round.

Musetti won the Hamburg European Open by defeating the favorite Carlos Alcaraz in a closely-contested three-set final.
