The connection between coach and future first captain is strong.
One interesting nugget from the reporting to come out in the wake of Joshua Kimmich’s Bayern Munich contract extension…the midfielder is a big fan of head coach Vincent Kompany.

BFW Analysis
In case it was not obvious yet, the Vincent Kompany love is real. And it is well deserved.
This year was critical juncture for Kimmich. The 30-year-old is likely at the peak of his career earning potential as a footballer, and likely also his best opportunity to make a move and experience top-level football in another country with another club. In the end, the newly-anointed Germany captain looked at all the factors and decided that Bayern had the best situation to offer.
Danke, Josh, and good choice.
