The Italian has opted to hand starts to each of Palmer and Jackson, with Madueke being named on the substitutes’ bench.

Reece James and Christopher Nkunku are the players to drop out to accommodate the pair, while there is also a change at right-back with Malo Gusto replacing Wesley Fofana.

Trevoh Chalobah has also been preferred to Benoit Badiashile, but, as expected, there is no place among the replacements for Romeo Lavia who picked up an injury earlier this week.

Wilson Odobert also comes into the final third, taking the spot of Brennan Johnson on the right flank, while Lucas Bergvall and James Maddison also feature in what is an offensive-minded XI.

Archie Gray and Yves Bissouma are the other two players to miss out on a place in the starting lineup.
